Join WFC and CHS Northwest to help fight hunger through CHS Harvest for Hunger
Lynden, WA – March 4, 2016
WFC and CHS Northwest are gathering donations of money and food to help fight hunger in our own communities. As part of CHS Harvest for Hunger food and fund drive, WFC and CHS Northwest will accept contributions from March 1 through March 31st at all locations, and deliver them to local food banks.
“Hunger is a reality for more than 50 million people in America. That’s one in six people who don’t have access to enough food,” says Don Eucker, General Manager, CHS Northwest. “We’re working together to make a difference for those in need.”
Financial donations are encouraged because they enable food banks to leverage their buying power to provide nutritious food at deeply discounted rates. But all donations of non-perishable food or checks or cash will be appreciated by your local food bank. Pet food donations are also greatly appreciated.
“Our local communities also win when CHS Country Operations makes an additional contribution to help friends and neighbors right here in our community. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to multiply the impact of every donation we make,” adds Eucker.
Donations can be made at WFC or CHS Northwest locations. Check our website at chsnw.com for the nearest location or call 360.354.2108 for more information on how you can help.
