CHS Northwest today announced the plans to close the Fairhaven True Value Store located at 3125 Old Fairhaven Parkway in Bellingham. The CHS Northwest Fairhaven True Value will be conducting an inventory closeout now until the inventory is gone. The store will close its doors for business on or before July 1st.
“We are saddened to be closing our Fairhaven location,” said Don Eucker, CHS Northwest General Manager. “Two major factors have contributed to our very difficult decision to close this location. Because of the large footprint of the space, we have been operating at a loss since the store opened in 2012. And recently our landlord has shared plans for a major remodel that will prohibit us from continuing our current business model as a hardware, farm, pet and garden store. Due to these factors, it is not financially viable to maintain the store in that location. We’d like to thank the great community of Fairhaven for their support and business over the past 6 years.”
“Starting immediately, we will begin our inventory closeout sale,” said Lance Carsten, Retail Division Manager. “Because we won’t be able to move the large amount of inventory into our other local stores, there will be great bargains for all of our customers and the community. We hope you will come shop with us.”
“We would like to thank Russ Stewart, store manager, and his great team of employees for their hard work and commitment to make the store a success and to service the community,” added Eucker. “We hope our Fairhaven customers will come visit our Meridian store, also in Bellingham, and our other locations throughout the county.”
CHS Northwest is an agricultural co-op, with energy, agronomy and retail locations.
