Lynden, WA (July 2017) — Through the generosity of our customers and CHS employees, the CHS Northwest Harvest for Hunger food and funds drive is helping local food banks fight hunger right here in our local communities. More than $12,000 and 300 pounds of food are headed to families in need, thanks to the CHS Harvest for Hunger food, funds and grain drive organized by the Country Operations division of CHS, the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative.
Annually, CHS Northwest participates in a nationwide Harvest for Hunger campaign sponsored by CHS, to raise awareness about the number of our friends and neighbors that are food insecure.
“Hunger is a reality for many in our communities and we may not even know it. Through CHS Northwest Harvest for Hunger, we are helping those in need. And because we work with other CHS Country Operations locations across the country, every dollar and donation stretches even further to make a much greater impact in the fight against hunger,” says Don Eucker, CHS Northwest General Manager.
“Every year, our CHS Country Operations locations come up with fun and engaging activities to gather their communities together to raise money for our CHS Harvest for Hunger campaign,” says Lynden Johnson, executive vice president, CHS Country Operations. “Hunger is a reality for many in our communities, and we want to help those in need put food on the table. Through CHS Harvest for Hunger, we can make a difference.”
