Lynden, WA — November 25, 2014 — Start the holiday season by helping out a family in need. All seven WFC Retail Stores will be hosting Lighthouse Mission Giving Trees. So if you would like to help out a local family during the holidays, just stop by one of our stores, take a tag from a tree and bring in a new, wrapped gift before Tuesday, December 23. Make a child smile, help keep a family warm, fill an empty stomach and spread some holiday cheer. Help us help local Whatcom County families this holiday season.
“We are pleased to host the holiday giving trees for the Lighthouse Mission,” said Don Eucker, WFC CEO. “We hope that we can help make the holidays a little brighter for some of our local families.”
From the Lighthouse Mission website: The Lighthouse Mission programs aim to provide direction and opportunity to people who have lost their path. The Lighthouse Mission works to break the cycle of homelessness and helplessness in the lives of people in need through providing vital services such as warm meals, safe shelter, and one-on-one case management. A person who is given hope, direction, and skills has the opportunity to return to a productive and dignified position in our community.
